Hi, my name is Dianna Ordway and I'm the Founder of Operation Pay it Forward Movement Project that I started in Port Saint Lucie and now am bringing to Orlando.
I started this Movement Project in hopes that it would touch many lives over and over again. So far it has been a success and now that I have moved here to Orlando, I would like to start it here and here is how it works... I collect things that people are giving away or throwing out anyway and I find people that are in need of such items. I started with ME first and I took things in my household that I could have sold but chose to start this Project instead. I gave away many things and all I ask from the people getting them is that they also Pay it Forward by finding something in their house that they are NO longer using or hardly ever use anymore...Post it on Craigslist or any other media just as I did, and give it to the person in need. If WE ALL did this 3 times, think of how many people WE will be helping. We are looking for warm, loving families who would like to share their lives with a young person from another country. Our host families will need to provide love, care, support, sleeping quarters and 3 meals according to their family customs. We ask our Host Families give their exchange student the same care and concerns they would want their son or daughter to receive in another country. We ask that our Host Families receive and treat their exchange student as an extension of their immediate family; as though they have a NEW son or daughter. Each student comes over with full medical insurance and receives a monthly allowance to cover all school related fees, sports fees, personal items needed and social activities. We have found that finding host families with the same activities make great host families. It gives the exchange student a chance to see a different side. While attending the local high school.
